I'm Sheffield— a designer passionate about truly understanding people and creating products that look + feel nice.
My background in Visual Arts
Since I can remember I've always loved art. This mainly entails visual arts such as drawing, painting, studying artists styles and art periods. You name it, and I've tried it out (most likely)! Over the years, I've really honed my design skills and attention to details. My eye is trained to notice what works and what doesn't, creating distinctly unique visual branding, and pixel-perfect designs.
Discovery
Through my studies in Business Administration, I've realized my passion for understanding others and how products can significantly improve other's lives if done right.
Empathizing with others to know what they're looking for and how their mind works gives me the opportunity to create designs that can not only positively impact people, but last.
So, by learning Marketing and UX Design, I'm provided with the opportunity to fulfill my passion of connecting with people on a deeper level, anticipating their needs, and crafting solutions that not only meet, but exceed their expectations. In essence, through the intersection of Marketing and UX Design, I can contribute to creating meaningful and user-centric experiences that enhance lives and make a lasting impact.
How I Like to Work
I'm a hands-on creative partner. That means I'm big on collaboration, and work best in environments where I can ask lots of "why" questions and be creative.
My practice combines design thinking and business strategy to drive results. I approach new challenges holistically, looking at the total experience — not just the pixels on the screen.
In my free time,
I love spending time outdoors on walks and bike rides, as nature is truly healing. I make sure to spend time with friends and always grow by listening to people's stories. It’s so fascinating how everyone has a whole backstory to discover and to learn about.
Fashion is also big part of my self-expression. The variety in silhouettes, patterns, textures and colours let my creativity run wild as a kid. When I have some time now, I like to teach myself sewing through repurposing old clothes, as I want to eventually be able to create an entire outfit from scratch for myself.
Otherwise you can catch me taking pictures, watching Studio Ghibli films, trying out new activities (currently it's nail art) and eating yummy foods :)
It’s great to meet you, I hope we can cross paths again soon :}

This includes adhering to budget constraints and deadlines. By working closely across portfolios, the team has brought significant represented to women in finance at Laurier!
2021-2023
As the founder and an instructor, I helped bring creative expression to numerous children's lives. By leading an extensive art curriculum on how to paint, sketch, and draw, the children I teach get to unleash their inner artists.
I believe that creative expression is fundamental in order for kids to feel empowered, even external from an artistic perspective as those are formative years.
In 2021, I initiated this endeavor as a means to channel my passion for art into teaching children how to express themselves through shapes, lines, and many, many colours. Of course
